Temporary exhibitions


The Interpretation Centre permanent exhibition is complemented by Temporary Exhibitions inside its facilities, whose objective is to make local master craftsmen known. They keep the traditional pottery of the area alive with their hands and/or they design new methods for a more environmentally-friendly artistic creation.

My Basket of Paper. Recycle Traditions




The basketwork is a process of elaboration by means of weave or winding of some folding material, of a container or another device. The people dedicated to this work denominate basket makers or basketmakers. As crafts are one of the oldest arts of the humanity, practiced from strips or fibers of vegetal origin   In this factory the fiber of vegetal origin by strips elaborated from newspaper paper has been replaced or magazines With it are tried among other educative objectives, to give one second opportunity to the exhausted materials.  The paper strips have been elaborated by means of the volute of the paper making tubes that resemble the wicker or marrow of together and the fold of paper strips imitating other natural fibers In their elaboration have been used the simple weave techniques, double doubling, interlace and patch of pieces and tubes of paper.  In its elaboration it has been used newspaper paper and magazines, joiner's glue to provide acrylic hardness to the pieces and paintings and bitumen of judea for its decoration. Finally some of the pieces have been finished with a varnish layer.  The pieces appear adorned with natural products (dry fragmentation hand grenades, flowers, thistles, leaves.) cord of hemp and other adornments elaborated from plastics egg pet, cardboards, matches and strips of paper.
