Temporary exhibitions

The Interpretation Centre permanent exhibition is complemented by Temporary Exhibitions inside its facilities, whose objective is to make local master craftsmen known. They keep the traditional pottery of the area alive with their hands and/or they design new methods for a more environmentally-friendly artistic creation.

“Cuadernos Arte-Sanos”

She is graduated in Dramatic Arts, writer and poet. She worked as an actress both in TVE and theatre companies. She was the forerunner of the Municipal Theatre Classroom and a teacher in the workshops of the region. As a writer and poet, she is the author and co-author of several works: “Antología poética del colectivo Sustari (1993), “Menacir: colección de poemarios”, del Colectivo Sustari (1998), “Cuentos del viejo Wädis” de Dora y Carmen Hernández Montalbán (2004), “El imaginario vientre de la tierra” del Colectivo Sustari y otros autores, (2007), “Leyendas de Sulayr y otros cuentos remotos” de Carmen y Dora Hernández Montalbán (2009), “Cuadernos de los iceberg” de Dori Hernández Montalbán (2009). She cooperates sporadically with the Wadias Weekly Paper. She was the founder member of the “La Oruga Azul” Association for the Promotion of Culture and Art. This collection of handmade notebooks arises from her creative and artistic restless spirit. Through the combination of different materials such as Kraft paper, corrugated cardboard, Masonite, vegetal paper, recycled paper, water-based and acrylic paints, wood, fabrics…, she makes original designs which evoke us those notebooks used by our oldest.

“I like designing on several types of paper and texture; it is another way of language. Taking care of writing text continent and doing it in an artisan and customized way; it is a continuity of the own creative writing process.

Now, through the rise and use of new technologies, it seems that we have forgotten a little the printed letter and the way of writing on paper. So it is the time to take care of the notebook and the book like physical and artistic objects, revaluing the handcrafts and the way of doing them by our predecessors. It seemed to me an original way to celebrate the Book’s Day.”
